This course provides participants with the required Flagger Certification Training to meet UDOT training requirements to be a flagger in the state of Utah. This training is good for 3-years. This course is approved under the American Traffic Safety Services Association (ATSSA).

This course is two hours and covers all the required elements including Supervisor responsibilities, signs of drug and alcohol use, referring employees for reasonable suspicion testing.

Upon completion of this course, participants will have an understanding of basic crane, rigging, and signal person requirements that meet OSHA requirements for rigging and signal persons. Topics include inspection, calculations, setup, and controls. This course can be used for either overhead, mobile cranes, or both.
This course meets OSHA requirements for the theory/classroom instruction for forklift operation. Topics covered in this course include safe operation, loading and unloading, pre-shift inspections, and worksite inspections. This covers Class 1-7 forklifts for both general industry and construction industries. Upon completion of the course, participants will receive a card certifying that the training has been completed. It is the employer's responsibility to conduct the onsite evaluation and designate authorized operators. SMTS personnel can conduct onsite observations upon request for an additional fee. Participants must be at least 18 years old to attend this training.
This course provides participants with a basic understanding of aerial work platform operation for both scissor lifts and /or boom lifts. This course has both theory-based training as well as a hands-on evaluation with a certificate of completion issued upon successful completion of the course. This course meets the new ANSI A92.24-2018 Theory Requirements. Onsite evaluations and hands-on training are available upon request for an additional fee.
This course supplies participants with the most up-to-date CPR and AED training. Upon completion, students will receive a CPR Certification valid for two years through the American Red Cross. We offer a full classroom or blended course option.
This short course covers the basics of bloodborne pathogens in the work environment. This course meets OSHA 1910.1030 requirements.
This course will provide participants with an understanding on how to approach accidents from an investigative approach. The end result will help the organization find the root causes to the accent and be able to properly identify root causes and concrete countermeasures to reduce the likelihood of future incidents of the same type.
