This course meets the OSHA requirements for training for anyone who will be assigned the responsibilities of a rigger or signal person. This is not a certification course as OSHA does not require riggers to be certified only to be trained and qualified.
This course covers the basics of rigging practices for material handling devices for both Construction and General Industry companies. This course also emphasizes the ASME B30 standards that could be referenced if taking certification exams. Participants that successfully complete this course will have the skills and knowledge to pass the Rigger I exams from various certifying agencies.

Sling identification, selection, use, and inspection
Load Angle Factors
Rigging Equipment
Electrical Safety for Cranes
Basic Crane Setup and Load Charts
Basic Crane Inspection Criteria
Critical Lifts and Load Planning
Hand Signals and Communication
This course is approximately 6 hours in length, lunch is provided during this course as part of the course fees. A course completion card will be issued immediately upon successful completion of the course.
