OSHA 10-hour general Industry

The OSHA 10-Hour General Industry course is designed to provide participants with the skills and knowledge to better recognized potential and real workplace hazards in general industry.  This course is a perfect course to introduce all employees to the importance of workplace safety and safe work practices.  All participants who successfully complete this course will be eligible to receive an OSHA 10-Hour card.

This course includes the following topics:

Introduction to OSHA

Walking and Working Surfaces

Exit Routes and Emergency Planning

Electrical

Personal Protective Equipment

Hazard Communication

Safety and Health Programs

Fall Protection

Material Handling

Machine Guarding

Upon completion of the course, participants will have gained knowledge and skills on how to recognize hazards and what the appropriate types of controls may be used to help eliminate or reduce the potential injuries from those hazards.

This class is one and a half days and participants are required to be present for the entire class to be eligible to receive their cards. Lunch will be provided on the first day and is included in the course fee.

This course may be taught at your company site and is offered in both English and Spanish.
